Human Resources Business Partner 100-115K base + 10% bonus
Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the HR Business Partner will oversee the HR function across multiple manufacturing plants. You will collaborate closely with plant leadership, the HR Team and employees to foster a positive and productive work environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance workplace morale and productivity.
- Advance the Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and overall employee experience.
- Resolve HR issues effectively by applying knowledge across disciplines of HR, including employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, engagement and talent management.
- Manage and maintain positive labour relations within the unionized plant.
- Assist with the negotiation and administration of collective bargaining agreements.
- Address and resolve employee grievances and disputes in a timely and effective manner.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition Specialist to develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Coordinate and administer compensation programs, including salary reviews, bonuses, and incentives.
- Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR/business or related area
- Minimum of seven (7) years of HR experience with some exposure to manufacturing
- CHRL/CHRP professional designation is an asset
- Extensive knowledge and experience in human resource management, including problem-solving, conflict resolution, coaching and strong analytical skills
- Strong knowledge of labour laws and regulations in Ontario
- Ability to deal with conflicting priorities and a variety of complex situations with tact and diplomacy
- Work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and be detail-oriented
