The Role
The Account Associate supports our sales team in facilitating the sales process, identifying opportunities for new business, and ensuring our existing customers remain satisfied. The Account Associate will assist in preparing for client meetings, managing sales documents, conducting follow-ups on sales activities to achieve sales goals, and attend trade show events.
What You’ll Do
- Provide end-to-end sales support and actively contribute to meeting and exceeding sales goals.
- Schedule meetings, coordinating sales activities, and supporting marketing campaigns including POS creation and organization.
- Contribute to the preparation of presentations, proposals, and contracts.
- Prepare and update spreadsheets such as customer listing forms, pricing listing forms, and distribution listing forms.
- Maintain accurate records of customer information, sales data, and pipeline activity.
- Support the team to organize, plan and prepare sales materials for events, trade shows, product and promotional activities.
- Act as a liaison between clients and the sales team to address inquiries, providing product information, and obtaining samples.
- Trade show support including set-up and attendance of events.
- Directly oversee a focused portfolio of house accounts.
- Work closely with Key Account Managers to carry out sales strategies.
- Data management responsibilities include maintaining and supporting customer portals, and ensuring the accuracy of the Food Service Price List.
- Generate and analyze sales reports to provide insights to the team.
- Clerical duties include but are not limited to managing Food Service share point site.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- 1 - 3 years of experience in sales or account management, preferably within the food service industry, with exceptional administrative abilities.
- A degree or diploma in Sales, Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office application.
- Previous experience with an ERP system is an asset (ACCPAC or similar).
- A collaborative mindset, coupled with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication, for effective interaction with team members and external parties.
- Passion for the food industry and a desire to contribute to a growing, dynamic organization.
