The Opportunity
We a long established, best in class Plumbing and HVAC business based in the GTA. We’re looking for an experienced Plumbing Service Dispatcher to be the operational hub of our service division. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you’ll manage the full lifecycle of every service call—from the moment a client reaches out to the final sign-off on a completed work order. You’ll coordinate directly with our technicians, property managers, and suppliers to keep jobs running smoothly and our quality standards where they belong.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for service clients via phone and email, collecting accurate information and setting appropriate expectations
- Create and manage work orders in our system, dispatching the right technicians to the right jobs based on skill set, location, and urgency
- Track jobs through to completion, ensuring every call is followed up on and nothing falls through the cracks
- Review supplier invoices, technician timesheets, and work orders to verify consistency and accuracy across all aspects of each job
- Maintain shop stock levels for commonly used materials so our technicians are always ready to go
- Coordinate with property management teams and building superintendents, particularly in high-rise residential settings
- Uphold and reinforce the company’s long-standing quality standards
- Support quoting and estimating on service work as needed
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Experience in a service coordination role for plumbing, HVAC, fire services, etc. - this is a must have
- Experience managing & pricing work orders, dispatching technicians and invoicing customers
- A reliable, consistent, can-do attitude—someone who shows up every day ready to do their best and takes pride in keeping the operation running
- Excellent communication skills—clear, professional, and comfortable dealing with clients, technicians, and management alike
- Strong written and spoken English
Preferred:
- Prior experience working with condominium boards, property managers, or building management offices
- Plumbing- or HVAC-related knowledge (trade background, supply house, or mechanical contracting environment)
- Strong understanding of how high-rise plumbing systems work
- Experience pricing and producing quotes
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $60,000 – $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
