Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team, providing expert maintenance and repair services for a variety of heavy-duty equipment. This role requires a strong background in automotive repair, industrial equipment, and heavy machinery, with an emphasis on safety, efficiency, and customer service. The ideal candidate will have dealership experience and be proficient in working with complex schematics and power tools.
Duties
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy diesel engines and Buses.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Conduct welding repairs and fabrication as needed to ensure equipment integrity
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to accurately diagnose problems and execute repairs
- Operate or assist with the operation of heavy industrial equipment during maintenance or repair procedures
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of all repairs performed
- Assist with the assembly and disassembly of machinery components for repair or replacement
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs
Skills
- Proven experience in automotive repair with dealership background preferred
- Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment including School buses and Motorcoaches.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience for troubleshooting complex systems
- Proficiency in welding, fabrication, and use of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately
- Experience operating heavy industrial equipment safely and efficiently
- Capable of performing heavy lifting safely and working in physically demanding environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction and team collaboration

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
