Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Truck Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automotive repair, heavy equipment maintenance, and industrial machinery. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of trucks and heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. The Truck Mechanic will utilize a broad range of skills including electrical, mechanical, welding, and hydraulic systems to support our fleet operations. A strong background in dealership experience, heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery is highly desirable. The position offers an opportunity to work with diverse equipment types and contribute to the efficient operation of our fleet.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair trucks and heavy equipment using mechanical knowledge and schematics
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, brake repairs, tire replacements, and inspections
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools effectively
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repairs on vehicle systems
- Operate or assist with heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial equipment when necessary
- Read technical manuals and schematics to identify issues accurately
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently during repairs or parts replacement
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations
- Assist in assembly or installation of new equipment or components as needed
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with a focus on trucks or heavy equipment; dealership experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive repair, industrial equipment, and farm machinery
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics interpretation
- Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or other industrial equipment is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
- Knowledge of electrical systems related to vehicles and machinery is desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service skills when interacting with clients or internal teams

Pay: $33.60 per hour
