Job Description:
We are seeking a hands-on and motivated leader to join our agricultural team as a Field Manager. This pivotal role is essential to the efficient operation of our farm, with responsibilities including the coordination of machinery operations, and ensuring optimal performance of plasticulture farming practices. The ideal candidate will have the ability to step into various roles and executing farming strategies effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Farm Operations:
- Operate and oversee a variety of farm machinery to support daily farming activities.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and repairs.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement maintenance schedules.
- Ensure optimal performance and longevity of farm equipment.
Irrigation Management:
- Oversee and manage irrigation systems, including pumps, drip tape, and plasticulture farming techniques.
Safety and Compliance:
- Promote a culture of safety and operational excellence.
- Ensure team members comply with all safety regulations and protocols.
Requirements:
- Mechanical Aptitude: Strong knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance in an agricultural setting.
- Irrigation Expertise: Experience with agricultural irrigation systems, including pumps, drip tape, and plasticulture farming.
- Farming Experience: Previous experience in large-scale farming operations, with an understanding of agricultural production complexities.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to perform efficiently under pressure.
