We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Dishwasher / Kitchen Utility team member to join our culinary staff for full-time day shifts.
Position Overview
As a Dishwasher at Janevca, you are a vital part of our daily operations. You will ensure that our kitchen team, service staff, and guests have clean, sanitized glassware, dishware, and culinary equipment available at all times. This is a consistent day-shift position perfect for someone who takes pride in cleanliness, organization, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Dishwashing & Sanitation: Operate the commercial dishwasher to clean and sanitize all dishware, glassware, silverware, pots, and pans efficiently.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain clean and organized dish pit areas, food prep spaces, and kitchen workstations.
- Trash & Recycling Management: Safely empty trash, compost, and recycling receptacles throughout the shift.
- Stocking & Storage: Safely unload, sort, and store clean cookware and service items in their designated kitchen locations.
- Receiving Support: Assist with receiving and organizing incoming kitchen deliveries as needed.
- Food Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines in accordance with workplace policies and provincial FoodSafe standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Schedule Availability: Able to work 5 days a week from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM (including weekends as required by scheduling).
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and possesses a strong work ethic.
- Physical Stamina: Able to stand, walk, lift, and carry up to 40 lbs throughout a shift in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Team Player: Positive attitude with the ability to work collaboratively alongside cooks and front-of-house staff.
- Experience: Prior dishwashing or kitchen utility experience in a restaurant setting is a plus, but we are happy to train the right candidate!
Pay: $22.00-$23.00 per hour
