Our client is a growing SaaS company (approximately $5–10M in annual revenue) in North America. They operate with a lean, high-performing team and are scaling quickly. This is an exciting opportunity to join as their Controller and top finance person, with full ownership of the finance function and direct visibility with executive leadership. Oversee all accounting operations including FP&A, Reporting, AR, payroll, and general ledger; prepare and review financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow); lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes; maintain internal controls and audit readiness; own SaaS revenue recognition and deferred revenue management; support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning; analyze SaaS metrics (MRR, ARR, churn, CAC, LTV) and translate financial data into clear insights for leadership; build scalable finance processes and reduce manual work through automation and modern tools; lead and mentor a small finance team (AP and AR); partner directly with the President and executive leadership on business decisions.
Requirements

Current SaaS industry experience + CPA designation or pursuing - strong understanding of SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606 / IFRS 15); CPA designation or close to completion; 7+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience; proven ability to build and improve processes; AI-savvy with a continuous improvement mindset; willingness to be hands-on and get into the details; strong communication skills with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
