Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic Donutshop & restaurant team. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service, ensuring smooth operations at the point of sale, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service and cashiering, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and food safety. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in the food industry while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, utilizing Micros POS or similar POS systems
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change using basic math skills
- Prepare and serve food items according to safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with food preparation when needed, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, counters, and workstations through proper sanitation practices
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service delivery
Skills
- Experience in food service, restaurant operations, or the food industry preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety standards
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cashiering and upselling purposes
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or orders efficiently
- Kitchen experience or food preparation skills are a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
- Flexibility to adapt to various roles within the restaurant as needed
Pay: $15.34-$17.00 per hour
