Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Bicycle and ebike Mechanic to help us assemble and fix ebikes. If you don’t have experience and willing to learn that’s acceptable. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and assembling bicycles to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, attention to detail, and proficiency with various hand and power tools. The Bicycle Mechanic will play a key role in providing excellent service to our customers and maintaining the high standards of our shop.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair bicycle issues, including gear systems, brakes, wheels, and frames
- Assemble new bicycles according to manufacturer specifications
- Perform routine maintenance such as tire replacements, brake adjustments, and lubrication
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs and assembly tasks
- Inspect bicycles for safety issues and ensure all repairs meet quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance needs clearly
Requirements
- Mechanical knowledge of bicycle components and systems
- Experience with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
- Familiarity with power tools used in bicycle repair and assembly
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Prior experience in bicycle repair or a related field is preferred but not required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting bicycles or parts up to 50 pounds
