Reporting to the Controller, the Junior Accountant is an exciting opportunity to launch your career in a fast-paced sports and entertainment environment. As a member of the Finance team, you'll play a role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations by processing and monitoring a high volume of transactions while gaining valuable hands-on experience. This role offers continuous learning and the opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
This full-time, permanent role has an annual salary range of $45,000 to $48,800, with 100% employer-paid benefits. The final compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience and qualifications. This is a replacement position and offers flexibility to work in a hybrid work arrangement.
What you’ll do:

Record daily bank transactions and complete bank reconciliations for multiple entities.

Complete various accounts payable tasks including processes invoices, expense reports, purchase requisitions, and coordinating approvals.

Manage the accounts payable and accounting inboxes by responding to inquiries, uploading invoices and examining customer statements.

Process credit card transactions, authorizations and analyze statements.

Verify that G/L transactions are accurate, in line with budget, and comply with financial policies and procedures.

Provide timely responses to and cultivate positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Assist with year-end external audits.

Perform other duties as required.
What’s Needed:

A degree or college diploma in accounting or related field.

0-2 years of accounting experience with experience in bank reconciliations and accounts payable considered an asset.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Experience working with Microsoft Great-Plains and NetSuite is considered an asset.

Strong ability to work within a team environment.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Highly organized with outstanding administrative and time management skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Working towards CPA designation considered an asset.

Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
