Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Retail Salesperson to join our team. This role involves engaging with customers, demonstrating products, and providing exceptional service to enhance the shopping experience. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
- Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to enhance customer understanding
- Engage in upselling and suggest complementary products to increase sales
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and stock levels
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and product organization
- Utilize effective communication skills, including phone etiquette, to support customer interactions both in-person and over the phone
- Manage time efficiently to ensure all responsibilities are completed during shifts
- Uphold organizational standards for cleanliness, safety, and presentation within the store
Skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on excellent phone etiquette
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and POS transactions accurately
- Experience in retail sales, merchandising, or cashiering preferred
- Knowledge of technology products or technical sales experience is a plus
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for serving diverse customer bases
- Customer service orientation with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Demonstrated organizational skills and time management capabilities
- Ability to perform product demos confidently and effectively upsell products
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic merchandising techniques
- Professional appearance with strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers
