Position Summary:
Church & State Wines – Brentwood Bay is seeking enthusiastic Servers and Server Assistants to join our Bistro and Tasting Room team.
We are looking for hospitality-driven individuals who are passionate about local BC wines, seasonal scratch-made cuisine, and delivering warm, engaging service. While we take our craft seriously, we foster a fun, creative, and supportive workplace where learning and artistic expression are encouraged.
Server Key Responsibilities:
· An interest in the local BC wine industry. Direct wine experience is not required, we can train the right candidate.
· A professional, energetic, and positive attitude.
· A great employment record that shows commitment.
· The ability to work well with supervisors and peers.
· Availability to work mornings/days/evenings and weekends. Saturday and Sunday mandatory.
· At least two years of experience in a fast-paced restaurant. for servers.
Assistant Server Key Responsibilities:
- Take reservations, greet and seat guests.
- Support servers in delivering efficient and seamless service.
- Assist with food running, table maintenance, and guest support.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
- Bring a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Previous hospitality experience is an asset but not required.
