Are you a master multitasker who thrives under pressure? Do you love a fast-paced environment where the day flies by? We are looking for a resilient, high-energy Medical Receptionist to join our busy ophthalmology and medical aesthetics clinic.
This isn't your average, quiet front-desk job. We run a high-volume, specialized surgical and aesthetic practice. You will be the air traffic controller of our front desk—managing a bustling waiting room, answering a continuous stream of phone calls, and handling electronic medical records (Accuro) with speed and precision.
If you are calm under pressure, exceptionally organized, and genuinely love helping patients navigate their care, you’ll fit right in with our dynamic team.
What a Typical Day Looks Like
- Patient Check-In/Check-Out: Warmly greet and efficiently check in a high volume of patients daily, ensuring all demographic and referral information is perfectly accurate and offering private pay testing.
- Triage & Phones: Manage a multi-line phone system, routing calls, booking appointments, and answering inquiries efficiently without losing your positive attitude.
- EMR & Document Management: Handle a heavy volume of incoming specialist referrals, surgery notes, and prescriptions, filing them accurately into our EMR system (Accuro).
- Scheduling Optimization: Coordinate complex appointment slots, balancing OHIP-covered surgical consultations with private aesthetic appointments.
- Billing Administration: Process day-to-day payments accurately.
What Makes You the Perfect Fit (Qualifications)
- The "Fast-Paced" Factor: You have proven experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment (medical clinic, hospitality, retail, or call center). You don't get flustered when three things happen at once.
- Tech-Savvy: Strong computer skills are a must. Experience with medical EMR software (specifically Accuro) is a massive asset, but your ability to learn new software quickly is what matters most.
- Resilience & Composure: You maintain a calm, professional, and empathetic demeanor even when dealing with anxious patients or a crowded waiting room.
- Communication & Detail: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You catch the small details that others miss.
- Team Player: You enjoy working closely with a supportive team of clinical staff, administrative peers, and physicians to keep the day running smoothly.
Why You’ll Love Working With Us
- A Supportive Team: We work hard, but we do it together. You will be fully supported by an experienced management team and a fantastic group of clinical colleagues.
- Fast Days: If you hate watching the clock, you'll love it here. The high volume means your shift will be over before you know it.
- Professional Growth: Gain deep, valuable experience in a highly specialized, cutting-edge medical and aesthetic field.
- Competitive Compensation: Competitive hourly wage based on experience, plus health benefits.
Job Type: Full-time
