SHUNT DRIVER / WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE
PMC Logistics is a growing third-party logistics company specializing in ambient, refrigerated, and frozen warehouse storage and distribution services. Located in Delta, BC, we are currently seeking a motivated, reliable full-time Shunt Driver / Warehouse Associate to join our operations team.
This is a hands-on position that combines yard operations with warehouse duties. While operating the shunt truck is an important part of the role, the successful candidate will also spend a significant portion of their day assisting with warehouse operations, including forklift operation, loading and unloading trailers and containers, order picking, and general warehouse support.
Position Summary
The Shunt Driver / Warehouse Associate plays an important role in ensuring the efficient movement of equipment and product throughout our facility. This position is responsible for safely moving containers within the yard while also supporting all aspects of warehouse operations. The successful candidate must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors and be willing to perform a variety of physical warehouse tasks as business needs require.
Key Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Safely operate a shunt truck to move trailers and containers throughout the yard and position equipment at loading docks.
- Coordinate trailer movements to support warehouse operations and shipping schedules.
- Load and unload containers, trailers, and trucks safely and efficiently using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Receive, store, move, and prepare incoming and outgoing freight.
- Pick, pack, stage, sort, palletize, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Operate warehouse equipment including sit-down counterbalance forklifts and other equipment as required.
- Perform inventory movements and maintain accurate product locations.
- Assist with load securement, trailer inspections, and ensuring shipments are prepared safely for transportation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and yard.
- Inspect forklifts, shunt trucks, and warehouse equipment daily and report any maintenance concerns.
- Follow all company policies and Provincial and Federal health and safety regulations, including CFIA and HACCP requirements.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and drivers to ensure efficient daily operations.
- Perform other warehouse and operational duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience.
- Previous experience operating a shunt truck or similar is required.
- Experience loading and unloading trailers and shipping containers.
- Experience operating a sit-down counterbalance forklift is required.
- Experience operating slip sheet, clamp, and stand-up forklifts is considered an asset; willingness to learn is essential.
- Experience working in refrigerated and frozen warehouse environments is considered an asset.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Schedule
- 8-hour shifts
- Preferred start time ranging from 7 am-9am. Can be discussed upon hiring.
- Occasional overtime may be required based on operational needs.
- Ability to work one Sunday shift per month from 8 am-12 pm. Overtime will be paid during this shift.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
