Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced HVAC/R Service Technician to join our team.
This position involves the installation, service, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and hydronic systems. The successful candidate will work independently as well as alongside our construction crews on a wide variety of projects.
No two days are the same. One day you may be servicing rooftop equipment, and the next you may be commissioning boilers, repairing refrigeration equipment, or troubleshooting heat pumps.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC/R systems.
- Service furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance and seasonal servicing.
- Commission new HVAC equipment and verify proper operation.
- Read blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications.
- Complete accurate service reports and documentation.
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and fellow team members.
- Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and work area.
- Follow all WorkSafeBC regulations and company safety procedures.
- Participate in an on-call rotation (when required).
Qualifications
- Journeyperson HVAC/R Technician or registered apprentice.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Experience with residential and commercial HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of hydronic heating systems and boilers is considered a strong asset.
- Gas Fitter (Class B or A) certification is an asset.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
