As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced and hands-on Financial Controller to oversee financial operations and contribute to strategic planning across the company.
Position Overview:
The Financial Controller is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations, budgeting, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. Working closely with department leaders, this individual will provide strategic financial guidance, support operational performance, and drive continuous improvement across the organization through strong financial leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all financial operations, including reporting, accounting, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Lead the company budgeting and forecasting process, including financial analysis and performance monitoring.
- Provide financial insights and strategic guidance to support operational and business decisions.
- Work with operations and project teams to monitor project costing, performance, and profitability.
- Oversee cash flow, working capital, and liquidity management.
- Develop and improve accounting policies, internal controls, and financial processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reporting accuracy.
- Manage and optimize ERP/MRP, accounting, and reporting systems, including upgrades and automation.
- Coordinate year-end activities and support external accounting engagements.
- Lead and mentor accounting and administrative staff while promoting cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications
- CPA designation required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and reporting frameworks including ASPE
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Well-developed critical thinking skills and solutions-focused mentality
- Experience developing and improving financial and operational processes, controls, and systems.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems, financial reporting platforms, and process optimization initiatives.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence decision-making and build effective relationships across all levels of the organization.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $100,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
