Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items with precision and consistency, following established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and sanitation regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Monitor food quality during service, making adjustments as necessary
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times during food service and meal preparation
- Support inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of shortages or expired items
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred, especially in a kitchen setting
- Familiarity with food industry standards for food safety, handling, and sanitation
- Experience with meal preparation, cooking techniques, and serving in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
- Strong understanding of food presentation and customer service principles
