Heavy Equipment Operator – Rock Quarry
Location: Multiple quarry sites (within 20 minutes)

About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to support operations across our active rock quarry locations. This role involves operating loaders, excavators, skid steers, guillotines, and other machinery to support quarry production, logistics, and stone processing.
Applicants MUST have previous rock quarry experience.
Experience excavating/digging out stone is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate front-end loaders, excavators, skid steers, and other quarry equipment
- Excavate and dig out stone safely and efficiently
- Load skidded and un-skidded natural stone products
- Handle and stack freight according to safety standards
- Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Assist with minor mechanical/automotive repairs when needed
- Follow all quarry safety protocols and PPE requirements
- Maintain accurate logs for equipment use, maintenance, and freight movement
- Work with team members to support smooth daily operations
Qualifications
- Required: Proven experience working in a rock quarry
- Required: Experience operating heavy equipment (loaders, excavators, etc.)
- Strong asset: Ability to excavate/dig out stone
- Truck loading experience is an asset
- CDL/commercial licence preferred but not required
- Knowledge of quarry safety procedures
- Basic mechanical repair skills are a plus
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment
- Physically capable of lifting heavy loads and performing manual labour

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
