Responsibilities:
- Pave on jobsites with various parking lots, roads and other construction applications
- Operate various heavy equipment, including skid steer, paver, screed or rollers while having an advanced knowledge of paving and grade processes and techniques
- Have experience with paving tools like raking, shoveling, tacking or slurrying would be an asset
- Ensure proper install and grade and control of materials to provide a quality finish to specification
- Work unsupervised with others in a high paced environment
- Perform daily equipment inspections before operation and monitor throughout the day
- Collaborate with supervisors and crews to meet project specifications
- Communicate well with others
- Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience with commercial or road construction is a must
- Knowledge of Grade and Pave process and techniques
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work overtime and shifts, including weekends
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions
