Prep Cook – Part-Time Mornings

Elma is a modern Turkish-inspired restaurant located on Okanagan Lake in Penticton. We are looking for a reliable and organized Prep Cook to join our kitchen team and support both our restaurant and seasonal food truck operations.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in consistency and organization, and is looking for daytime hours in a professional kitchen environment.
Position Details
- Part-time
- Morning shifts
- Approximately 3–4 weekdays per week
- Competitive hourly wage: $19–$21/hour

Responsibilities
- Preparing ingredients according to recipes and chef specifications
- Washing, cutting, portioning, and organizing products
- Assisting with food preparation for restaurant and food truck service
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of prep areas
- Following food safety and sanitation standards
- Assisting with receiving and storing deliveries
What We're Looking For
- Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to work efficiently and independently
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
