Executive Director
Position Summary
The Executive Director provides visionary, strategic, operational, and spiritual
leadership for the centre. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is
responsible for advancing the mission of the organization, leading staff and volunteers,
developing community relationships, and ensuring long-term financial sustainability.
As the primary ambassador of the centre, the Executive Director cultivates strong
relationships with donors, churches, community partners, and supporters while ensuring
excellence in client care and organizational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Mission and Spiritual Leadership
- Champion and protect the mission, vision, and values of the centre.
- Provide Christ-centred leadership to staff and volunteers, fostering a culture of compassion, prayer, integrity, and service.
- Ensure all programs and activities align with the centre's statement of faith, policies, and ministry objectives.
- Represent the centre as a credible and passionate advocate for the sanctity of human life.
Strategic and Organizational Leadership
- Work collaboratively with the Board to establish strategic priorities and organizational goals.
- Provide leadership and oversight for all centre operations, programs, staff, and volunteers.
- Ensure effective stewardship of centre resources.
- Maintain strong organizational systems, policies, and accountability measures.
- Support a culture of excellence in client care and community service.
Fund Development and Community Engagement
- Develop and implement annual fundraising and donor engagement strategies.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with major donors, churches, foundations, businesses, and community supporters.
- Lead fundraising campaigns, events, sponsorship initiatives, and grant development efforts.
- Serve as the public representative of the centre within the Bow Valley region.
- Build collaborative relationships with churches, community organizations, service providers, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications Required
- Demonstrated commitment to the sanctity of human life and agreement with the centre's Christian mission and values.
- Mature Christian faith with a lifestyle and leadership approach consistent with biblical principles.
- Proven success in fundraising, donor development, and relationship management.
- Experience providing strategic leadership in a nonprofit, ministry, charitable, or related organization.
- Experience leading and developing staff and volunteers.
- Strong communication, public speaking, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred
- Experience in a pregnancy care centre or similar ministry.
- Post-secondary education in leadership, business, ministry, nonprofit management, or a related field.
- Experience in grant writing, marketing, communications, or community development.
