Duties
- Operate laundry machines efficiently to wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and other textiles according to established standards.
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and washing requirements to prevent damage and ensure quality results.
- Maintain a clean and organized laundry area, including cleaning machines and work surfaces regularly.
- Monitor laundry cycles to ensure proper operation and troubleshoot any machine issues promptly.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking linen supplies and notifying supervisors when stock levels are low.
- Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment to handle chemicals safely during cleaning processes.
- Support the overall cleanliness of the laundry area by participating in routine cleaning and sanitation tasks.
Experience
- Previous experience in hotel or hospitality laundry services is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- Basic knowledge of laundry equipment operation and maintenance is a plus.
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures and safety standards related to chemical handling is advantageous.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work efficiently during the evening hours.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
