About the Role
The Office Assistant creates a WOW experience through friendly, courteous, and timely support. Whether it's sending out packages, unloading the dishwasher, or keeping office supplies stocked, this role is all about attention to detail and going the extra mile. With pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming office, no task is too small for this detail-oriented team player.
This is an on-site role based out of our Surrey, BC office, working 2 days in office per week. This is a part-time, 3-month contract position at 16 hours per week. Candidates must be available to work Mondays and Wednesdays.
What You'll Do
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and common areas, including unloading dishwashers, tidying spaces, and restocking supplies as needed.
- Provide frontline administrative support by answering the intercom and responding to emails, faxes, and internal requests.
- Respond to and support Jira service requests related to day-to-day requests (e.g., office moves, flower orders, supply requests), ensuring timely and accurate completion or coordination with appropriate teams.
- Prepare, organize, and package outgoing courier shipments, mail, and materials for trade shows or offsite events.
- Draft, proofread, and format routine correspondence and documents as required.
- Support internal meetings and events by reserving facilities, coordinating room setup, arranging catering, and ensuring timely setup and cleanup.
- Assist with general office administration and other duties as assigned to support smooth daily operations.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Previous experience working in an office setting with similar responsibilities is a bonus but not essential
- Experience and knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is a bonus but not essential to the role
- Personable with excellent communication skills
- Takes initiative, is organized, and is detail oriented
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new situations easily

Compensation
At the time of this posting, the estimated hourly rate for this position is $21.00 per hour. Individual compensation is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and education/training. This rate reflects the hourly pay only and does not encompass the comprehensive total rewards package that we proudly offer.
