Summary
The Shipper/Receiver coordinates the physical inflow and outflow of goods within our steel manufacturing facility. This role ensures perfect inventory accuracy, strict quality inspection of incoming materials, and the safe, secure preparation of outgoing structural metal products. As a vital link in the CMB' supply chain, you directly impact production uptime and customer satisfaction
Responsibilities
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage and discrepancies, and report issues as needed.
- Document receiving details systematically.
- Organize and label received goods, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Regularly update inventory records, tracking levels, and reporting discrepancies.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts and reconciliations.
- Package items securely for shipment, ensuring compliance with shipping requirements.
- Choose cost-effective packaging materials and methods.
- Generate and manage shipping labels and documentation.
- Schedule and coordinate outbound shipments to meet deadlines.
- Arrange and select reliable, cost-effective transportation.
- Safely load and unload vehicles.
- Maintain accurate logs of shipping and receiving activities, including damaged goods and returns.
- Prepare and submit relevant reports to management.
- Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and hazardous materials handling.
- Resolve shipment-related issues with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams.
- Work with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Adhere to company policies and relevant regulations for shipping and receiving.
Skills/Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift experience required.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and/or Google G Suite.
- Previous experience in shipping/receiving in an industrial environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of cross-border logistics and documentation.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and inventory management systems (ERP).
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for handling materials and equipment.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and fast-paced environments.
- Class G license with clean driving record; AZ license an asset

Compensation: The anticipated base hourly range for this role is $23/hr - $28/hr. Actual base hourly range offered within this range may differ based on a range of factors, including individual experience, education, skills, and organizational needs.
Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
