We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Grade 4–5 Classroom Teacher to join our team.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will teach a combined Grade 4–5 classroom and foster a joyful, structured, and engaging learning environment where students are challenged academically and supported personally.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging instruction across the elementary curriculum, including Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Health, and other subject areas as assigned
Support student development in academics, organization, responsibility, and social-emotional growth
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
Create a positive, respectful, and well-managed classroom culture
Assess student progress and communicate effectively with families
Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum planning and student support
Participate in school activities, field trips, special events, and the broader life of the school community
Contribute to extracurricular or enrichment opportunities as appropriate
Qualifications
Valid BC Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for certification)
Bachelor of Education or equivalent
Experience teaching at the elementary level, preferably in intermediate grades
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Commitment to student-centered learning and whole-child education
