Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of terminal areas, restrooms, lounges, and other public spaces using commercial cleaning equipment and supplies
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning procedures
- Handle custodial tasks such as trash removal, restocking supplies, and disinfecting high-touch surfaces to ensure hygiene standards are met
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report issues promptly
- Assist with light maintenance tasks including minor repairs or touch-up painting in designated areas
- Use industrial cleaning tools and techniques to ensure high standards of cleanliness are achieved efficiently
- Follow safety protocols and proper cleaning procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services, preferably within commercial or industrial settings
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing surfaces
- Familiarity with various cleaning products, equipment, and safety procedures related to commercial cleaning environments
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying areas needing attention
- Basic maintenance skills including minor repairs or painting are a plus
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues clearly
