Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible Day Camp Leaders to oversee and engage children in a dynamic summer camp environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children, fostering a safe and fun atmosphere, and leading activities that promote learning and social development. Duties
- Plan, organize, and lead daily camp activities tailored to various age groups, ensuring they are engaging, educational, and inclusive
- Supervise children during all camp activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and social interaction among campers
- Assist with setting up activity stations and maintaining equipment and supplies
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding camper progress, behavior, and camp updates
- Enforce camp rules and safety procedures consistently to ensure a secure environment
- Support the development of campers' skills through tutoring or teaching activities when appropriate
- Collaborate with fellow staff members to create a cohesive and enjoyable camp experience
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children, including tutoring or teaching roles preferred
- Background in early childhood education or related fields is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with children in a positive manner
- Ability to lead activities confidently while maintaining safety standards
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or activity plans as needed
- Enthusiastic attitude with a genuine interest in fostering children's growth and development
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions during camp hours
