Our Service Project Lead will be responsible for managing special projects within the Service Department at RESCo Energy. The successful candidate will be highly organized ad detail-oriented and act as the primary point of coordination between internal teams, clients, landlords, field technicians and utility operators.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate special projects
- Conduct site assessments and create site condition reports
- Develop project schedules and coordinate field activities with internal and external stakeholders
- Track project progress, milestones, risks and action items to ensure timely completion
- Maintain and track accurate inventory levels
- Ensure all project documentation is complete, and properly maintained
- Coordinate access, scheduling and communication with property owners, landlords and site representatives
- Conduct and support installation and commissioning activities
- Assist with troubleshooting and issue resolution during commissioning activities
- Ensure strict compliance with RESCo Energy’s extensive Health & Safety Procedures & Policies
- Positive and cooperative attitude

Work Environment
- Combination of field and office
- Required to travel to project locations
- Work comfortably on construction sites in various weather conditions

Education and License Requirements:
- Valid class G Driver's License with a clean driving record required
- Working at Heights required
- 309 Electrical Journeyman license an asset
- AWP training an asset
- First Aid/CPR training an asset
Experience and Skills Requirements:
- 2-5+ years of experience with PV systems
- Experience working in construction, electrical, or field service environments.
- Experience coordinating technical, telecommunications, electrical, or renewable energy projects.
- Experience/familiarity with solar, DER, SCADA, monitoring equipment/platforms, communications, and/or utility-related projects.
- Comfortable working in a client-facing environment with professional communication standards.
- Ability to coordinate with utilities, contractors, and property stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, scheduling software, and project tracking tools.
- Familiarity with commissioning and testing procedures.
- Electrical Engineering Technician/Technologist diploma or equivalent an asset
- Ability to read and interpret SLDs and system drawings
- Previous experience and knowledge of BESS systems an asset
- Experience with computer networking, IP, Wi-Fi, and cellular data communications.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic
- Ability to take direction and follow instructions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
