We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Milling Machine Operator & Programmer with hands-on experience working on Haas CNC machining centers. The ideal candidate will be proficient in creating CNC programs, setting up machines, performing precision machining operations, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of manufactured components. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
1. CNC Programming & Setup
Develop, edit, and optimize G-code programs for Haas CNC milling machines using CAD/CAM software (Fusion 360, Mastercam, SolidCAM, or similar).
Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and 3D models.
Select appropriate tools, cutters, speeds, and feeds to ensure efficient machining.
Set up machines including workholding, fixture installation, tool presetting, and program loading.
Perform first-article inspections and adjust offsets for accuracy.
2. CNC Machine Operation
Operate Haas milling machines (VF series, Mini Mill, Super Mini Mill, etc.) with accuracy and efficiency.
Monitor machining processes, ensure optimal performance, and detect potential issues.
Troubleshoot machine alarms, tool wear, and machining errors to prevent downtime.
Maintain tight tolerances as required by part specifications.
3. Quality Control & Inspection
Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and CMMs (if applicable).
Verify dimensions, surface finish, and tolerances according to QC standards.
Document inspection results and maintain production records.
4. Maintenance & Safety
Perform daily and weekly machine maintenance and keep equipment clean.
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe, organized workspace.
Identify and report equipment issues, suggesting improvements for workflow and tooling.
Qualifications & Requirements
Proven experience as a CNC Milling Operator/Programmer, especially on Haas CNC machines.
Strong knowledge of G-code and CNC machine operations.
Proficiency with CAD/CAM software.
Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings.
Hands-on experience with precision measuring tools.
Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.
Good troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional)
Experience in multi-axis machining (3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis).
Background in aerospace, automotive, or precision engineering manufacturing.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or CNC optimization techniques.
