BPL Hydroseed and Environmental (“BPL”) is a premier provider of erosion control and land restoration solutions in Salmon Arm, BC. We are currently in search of a Hydroseed Operator to join our team.
Role Overview:
As a Hydroseed Operator at BPL, you are a key component in achieving successful project delivery. You are fluent in running hydroseeding equipment on your own and can execute projects with minimal oversight. You will operate a variety of hydroseeding equipment to support with hydroseeding and land restoration projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate hydroseeding equipment (T170, T330, HT400) in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload equipment, seed, mulch, and other materials as required.
- Mixing seed, mulch, and additives to create hydroseeding blends.
- Keep detailed records of hydroseeding blends and applications.
- Complete routine maintenance on hydroseeding equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Act as an on-site liason in a professional manner.
- Always adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience running hydroseeding equipment.
- Knowledge of HECPs and erosion control solutions.
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete basic repairs on hydroseeding equipment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- BC-CESCL or CPESC designation is an asset.
- Willingness to perform job duties and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Camp Work will be required from time to time.
