Binary is looking for a Workshop Assistant to join the production team. The Workshop Assistant will work under the Production Manager to produce high quality climbing holds via the operation of a variety of workshop equipment including basic power tools, a table saw, band saw, sandblasting cabinet, sanding belts, and other tools. Secondary duties will include operating spray booth equipment to apply texture to the climbing holds produced.
The ideal candidate will enjoy on hands-on repetitive work, have a high attention to detail, be well organized, and able to work well as part of a small and dedicated team.
Experience operating workshop equipment is necessary. Experience working with spray booth/ automotive painting equipment is an asset. Climbers preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Production Manager in producing climbing hold
- Regularly operate workshop equipment
- Operate spray booth equipment
- Maintain a safe working environment through the maintenance and cleaning of workshop and through safe workshop practices
- Recommends changes in products and processes to improve the manufacturing process
What We Offer:
- $18-20 hourly rate depending on experience
- Full time hours with every other Monday off
- Free membership to the Calgary Climbing Center for you and a plus one (after 3 months)
- $500/year health spending (after 3 months)
