Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic SERVER to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Responsible for the serving of food and beverage for Banquets, Dave’s Pub & Grill and Special Events.
- Ensure correct billing procedures are followed
- To provide excellent service to guests, ensuring level of service meets Hotel standards
- Responsible for reading, understanding and following the Banquet Event Order associated with the function being served prior to service
- Required to set up functions and service in accordance to the requests made through the Banquet Event Order, i.e., plated service, buffet, any special requests
- Opening duties include, preparing coffee, unlocking all doors, bar for service, mop and vacuum clubhouse, organizing chairs and patio when required, checking and cleaning if necessary
- During service responsible for greeting patrons, presenting menus, informing of specials, making recommendations and answering any questions regarding food and beverages
- Take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff and serve food and beverages at a timely manner, using proper serving techniques
- Present bill to patrons at a timely manner and accept and process payment for patrons
- Responsible for accurately completing end of shift cash out, by calculating total payments and reconciling with total sales.
- Responsible for keeping all clubhouse areas, front and back, clean, tidy and stocked at all times
- Closing duties include, ensuring all side duties are completed for service for next day, locking all doors and turning lights off in all areas in clubhouse, responsible for the mopping, sweeping , wiping , closing of bar, sweeping of clubhouse, Games Room and organizing and wiping down outside patio tables for front and back patios
- Required to polish all silverware and glasses used in function and to put away any equipment, dishes used in function to proper area
- Responsible for keeping condiments filled, roll ups and portions completed and any other side work necessary for service
- Ensure that all customer complaints are relayed to Operations Manager
Qualifications
- Smart Serve required
- Knowledge of liquor laws
- Experience preferred
- Must have own transportation
- Flexibility in scheduling a must
- Be able available to work days, evening and weekends
- Must have own transportation
- Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques is an asset
- Must have own transportation
- Excellent communication and guest service skills
- Must be able to work well with minimal supervision and be a team player
- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy items (approx. 25lbs)
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
