We are seeking a professional and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires familiarity with electronic medical records, medical terminology, and office management systems to ensure smooth daily operations within a busy medical practice. Prior experience in dental or medical office environments is highly preferred, along with proficiency in multi-line phone systems and front desk responsibilities. The Medical Receptionist will play a vital role in maintaining patient satisfaction and supporting clinical staff.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and direct calls appropriately
- Verify patient information and update electronic medical records accurately using OSCAR pro
- Confirm upcoming appointments and send reminders to reduce no-shows
- Maintain organized front desk operations, including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence
- Assist with administrative tasks such as faxing, scanning, and document preparation
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Support clinical staff by preparing necessary documentation and coordinating patient flow
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or medical receptionist is highly desirable
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental or healthcare settings
- Strong office experience with proficiency in multi-line phone systems and front desk operations
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Prior administrative experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required
