Job Summary
The Part-Time Building & Landscaping Operator is responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of the property’s outdoor grounds and building exterior. This position is primarily focused on seasonal landscaping, lawn care, and winter snow removal, with additional responsibilities for light building maintenance, cleaning, and coordination with service vendors.
The successful candidate will perform routine groundskeeping tasks including mowing, trimming, edging, weed control, watering, and general landscape upkeep during the growing season. During winter months, the role will focus on snow clearing, ice management, and ensuring safe access to buildings, parking areas, and walkways.
Additional duties include conducting minor repairs, performing light cleaning and maintenance tasks, monitoring property conditions, and assisting with contractor and vendor coordination to ensure services are completed efficiently and to required standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain lawns, landscaping, gardens, and outdoor common areas.
- Perform mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, and seasonal grounds maintenance.
- Remove snow and ice from walkways, entrances, parking areas, and other designated locations.
- Apply ice-melt and monitor site safety during winter weather conditions.
- Complete minor building maintenance and repair tasks.
- Perform light cleaning of exterior and common areas as required.
- Conduct routine inspections and report maintenance concerns.
- Coordinate and liaise with vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Maintain equipment and tools in safe working condition.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and property standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, property maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to operate lawn care and snow removal equipment safely.
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance and minor repairs.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
