McLennan Ross has a dynamic team of support professionals who are highly motivated to deliver exceptional service to our lawyers and clients. We are currently recruiting a Part-Time Legal Assistant to join our Legal Support Services team for evening and weekend shifts in our Edmonton office.
Position Overview
Our Legal Support Services team provides legal administrative and word processing support to lawyers and staff during evenings (Monday to Thursday) and on weekends. This part-time role supports lawyers across a range of specialty practice areas and is ideal for individuals seeking flexible work hours.
The Legal Assistant is responsible for providing high-quality legal administrative and clerical support, including document preparation, dictation, and correspondence.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing, editing, and formatting legal documents and correspondence
- Transcribing dictations accurately and efficiently
- Drafting letters and assisting with legal documentation across various practice areas
- Maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion at all times
- Managing multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines
- Providing exceptional customer service to internal and external clients

Qualifications & Experience
- Post‑secondary diploma or certificate from an accredited Legal Assistant or Paralegal program and/or demonstrated experience in a legal assistant role
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Legal Assistant
- Experience in multiple areas of law is considered an asset
