Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Transportation Administrator (Night Shift) to oversee and coordinate transportation operations within our organization. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient scheduling, communication, and management of transportation services, supporting smooth logistical workflows. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams and external partners.
Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate and timely data entry for driver logs, delivery details, maintenance records, and compliance documentation.
- Respond to all night calls and emails, providing prompt support to drivers and addressing operational concerns.
- Arrange assistance for breakdowns, coordinating repairs to minimize downtime.
- Manage and file all required documentation, including driver paperwork, shipping records, compliance reports, and maintenance logs.
- Address driver-related issues such as truck assignments, paperwork completion, and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor fleet performance and safety, ensuring adherence to company policies, HACCP, biosecurity, and safety procedures.
- Able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and rotational on-call as needed.
Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Strong communication skills to facilitate clear and effective interactions with team members, drivers, and external partners
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules simultaneously
- Experience in transportation or logistics is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in recordkeeping and compliance documentation
- Proficiency in basic computer applications such as MS Office or transportation management systems is a plus
