Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Mechanic to join our automotive service team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in vehicle repair and maintenance, providing a valuable foundation for a career in automotive mechanics. Responsibilities
- Assist senior mechanics with diagnosing and repairing vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform repairs and maintenance tasks
- Follow schematics and technical manuals to understand vehicle systems and assembly procedures
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks
- Support the team in vehicle inspections and troubleshooting mechanical issues
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Learn to interpret technical diagrams and schematics for various automotive systems
- Assist with vehicle assembly and disassembly as needed for repairs or upgrades
Requirements
- Strong mechanical knowledge with an interest in automotive repair and maintenance
- Dealership experience or prior mechanic experience is a plus but not required
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients when necessary
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow safety protocols diligently
- Ability to work physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience with automotive repair or maintenance is advantageous but not mandatory
