Veterinary Technician / Assistant (Part-Time)
Location: Stoney Creek, ON
Hours: 15–30 hours per week
We are a friendly small animal veterinary practice seeking a reliable and compassionate Part-Time Veterinary Technician / Assistant to join our team. This position offers the potential for long-term employment for the right candidate.
Please note: Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital is required.
Responsibilities
- Answering phones and assisting clients
- Scheduling and confirming appointments
- Greeting clients and processing payments
- Handling and restraining animals safely and compassionately
- Assisting with patient care and monitoring
- Administering medications as directed
- Cleaning and maintaining treatment and kennel areas
- Assisting veterinarians and veterinary technicians as needed
- General reception and administrative duties
Qualifications
- Previous veterinary clinic or animal hospital experience required
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Experience with AVImark software is considered an asset
- Weekend availability required
