Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for global food and a strong understanding of meal preparation and food safety practices. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality dishes to our guests. We are looking for a team member who has a good sense of humour, a positive attitude and work ethic, and prides themselves on creating delicious, fresh dishes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in flavor and presentation.
- Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling and storage practices.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all guests.
- Collaborate and communicate with other team members to ensure timely service.
- Monitor inventory and par levels and assist with ordering supplies as necessary.
- Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setting up workstations and cleaning.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cook or food service role is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation.
- Food Handlers Certification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Must be able to work Tuesday-Saturday. Shifts are mids and evenings/close. We are closed Sunday & Monday.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
