We are looking for a dynamic,results-driven Business Development Lead to lead growth initiatives inCanadas defence sector. This role requires deep industry relationships,strategic thinking, and technical familiarity with composite armour systems andmilitary procurement processes.
In this exciting role youllbe at the forefront of our growth strategy, developing and executing winningsales campaigns, forging strong customer relationships, and delivering realimpact in the defence and security sector.
The role is primarily site-based, but there can be some flexibilityaround your working schedule and remote work, where suitable. Some travel, bothdomestic and international may be required.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the development and execute winning business plans targetingCanadian defence customers, including DND, OEMs, and integrators.

Leverage existing relationships within the Canadian Armed Forces,defence contractors, and government agencies to identify new opportunities.

Collaborate with Marketing, including gathering and analyzing marketdata, and providing input for communications planning and marketing activities.

Promote the composite armour systems portfolio, including body armour, helmets,EOD suits, vehicle and platform armour.

Influence customer requirements to align with NP Aerospace solutions.

Collaborate with engineering and product teams to tailor solutions toclient requirements.

Inform and provide input to the NP Aerospace Research and DevelopmentPlan.

Inform and influence the relevant business functions to deliver winningsolutions and bids and support the

Bid Management Team in responding totenders.

Prepare quotes for customers and manage supporting correspondence.

When appropriate, coordinate delivery activities and consult withcustomers post-contract award.

Work cross-functionally with the global Director of Business Developmentin the UK, and the Business

Development Lead for Vehicle Systems, Services andSpares to ensure a cohesive and collaborative customer approach.

Represent NP Aerospace at defence industry events, trade shows andexhibitions.

Engage with internal stakeholders, particularly the engineeringcommunity, to deliver coherent and accurate information to customers.

Update and maintainleads, active deal opportunities and customers within the CRM

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & SKILLS
Essential

University degree, college diploma, or relevantsales experience.

Minimum 5 years of experience in businessdevelopment or sales within the defence manufacturing or military technologysector.

Strong network within Canadian defenceorganizations and procurement bodies.

Technical understanding of compositematerials and ballistic protection.

Proven track record of securing contracts andmanaging complex sales cycles.

Excellent communication, negotiation, andpresentation skills.

Canadian citizen orpermanent resident

Experience of using AI tools or demonstrates a willingness to learn and apply AI in role.
