Job Overview
We are seeking both a skilled CNC Mill Machinist & CNC VTL Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in CNC-G code, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings. The ideal candidates will play a vital part in ensuring high-quality production and maintaining efficient manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Set up and run 3 axis CNC milling machines.
- Experience machining large weldments, assemblies and castings to tight tolerances.
- Machining of parts including boring, milling, facing, drilling and tapping.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications to ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances of machined parts.
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with other operators and team members to ensure smooth workflow.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and forklifts as needed for setup and material handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Intermediate or Senior level position.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing environments.
- Primarily familiar with Fanuc & Tosnuc machine controllers.
- Proficiency in CNC-G code editing.
- Experience working with overhead cranes and using safe lifting techniques.
- General machinist certification an asset.
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
