Responsibilities
- Apply finishing techniques to freshly poured concrete surfaces, ensuring smoothness, levelness, and proper texture according to project plans.
- Operate hand tools and power tools such as trowels, floats, edgers, and screeds to achieve precise finishes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Install rebar and perform masonry work as needed to support concrete structures and ensure structural integrity.
- Use heavy equipment safely for tasks like lifting, moving materials, or preparing sites for concrete placement.
- Conduct restoration work including drywall installation, caulking, flooring installation, and general renovation tasks to complement concrete finishes.
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, welders, and other tradespeople to coordinate activities on site and ensure seamless project execution.
Experience
- Proven construction experience with a focus on concrete finishing or related trades such as masonry or restoration.
- Mechanical knowledge including familiarity with schematics, blueprint reading, and technical diagrams.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools essential for concrete finishing and general construction tasks.
- Experience operating heavy equipment safely in a construction environment.
- Knowledge of rebar installation, drywall work, flooring installation, welding basics, and masonry techniques is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during precision tasks.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices in construction settings.
