What will your role involve?
The Industrial Engineer works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary technical team to design, propose, and implement methods, processes, and tools inspired by Industry 4.0 concepts and Lean practices. Result-oriented projects will aim to increase overall operational efficiency and reduce non-value-added activities, sources of waste, and health and safety risks. The engineer will also be responsible for improving inter-plant processes by implementing robust procedures and collaborating with different plant departments.
The Industrial Engineer will:
- Analyze, propose, and implement work methods and tools to reduce non-value-added activities, sources of waste, and accident risks;
- Design and implement tools (e.g., Power BI) to display key performance indicators and measure operational productivity;
- Explore and analyze data using various tools to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities;
- Establish standard times for assembly and manufacturing;
- Design and implement plant layouts and workstations;
- Coordinate synchronization of operations on assembly lines and between plants;
- Contribute to the development of inter-plant material flows;
- Manage assigned projects;
- Lead risk analysis sessions in multidisciplinary meetings;
- Work on-site at our Drummondville facilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field;
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment;
- Good knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards (an asset);
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft tools;
- Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP) (an asset);
- Strong project management and continuous improvement skills;
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
- Team-oriented mindset;
- Functional English, both spoken and written (French assumed as primary);
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
- Knowledge of CAD software.
