We are hiring multiple positions:
Electrical Crew Leaders - Looking for 3rd-year, 4th-year or journeypersons with experience in Residential New Home Construction.
Electrical Apprentices - Looking for 1st-year, 2nd-year or 3rd-year apprentices. Special consideration will be given to anyone with experience in Residential New Home Construction.
Rkay Electrical has been in operation since 2011 and works in homes of all sizes and styles for some of Edmonton and surrounding areas premier home builders. We are a close knit group who takes great pride in our work and strives to grow and succeed alongside each other and the builders we do work for.
Pay and Hours:
Journeyperson Rate will be $38.00 per hour.
4th Year (80% of J.Rate) - $30.40 per hour.
3rd Year (70% of J.Rate) - $26.60 per hour.
2nd Year (60% of J.Rate) - $22.80 per hour.
1st Year (50% of J.Rate) - $19.00 per hour.
Requirements:
A successful applicant should be reliable, punctual and self-motivated, as well as a good listener that accepts feedback and criticism well.
- Be in good enough shape to climb stairs, ladders, lift rolls of wire and boxes of material (up to 100 lbs.) and be walking around on your feet during a day.
- Residential construction experience is not required, but a definite bonus.
- Must have your own hand tools or the ability and means to acquire them. (Tool list will be provided upon hiring.)
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle, as we work in various areas all over Edmonton and its surrounding area, as well as travelling to our shop which is located in West Edmonton.
- Must have a smart phone and the ability/proficiency to download and utilize any of the apps we use to streamline performance.
- Having a valid Standard Class C First Aid certificate is also a bonus.
Pay is determined by apprenticeship year and experience, but is based on a journeyperson rate of $38/hour. Salaries and Guaranteed Living Wage amounts may apply based on position.
