Merit Embroidery & Printing is a family run business located on the south side of Edmonton, close to public transit. We specialize in embroidery, screen printing, digital printing and laser engraving on promotional products and apparel. We currently have an opening for a full time graphic artists to perform pre-production related duties including but not limited to:
- Operate digital printers (Mimaki Large Format and DTF Printers) to produce prints, patches and gangsheet transfers
- Operate laser engraver to produce patches and engrave on hard goods
- Lead and assist in application of digital prints/patches to headwear and apparel using a heat press
- Prepare transparencies for the screen printing department and work closely with the team to ensure quality standards are consistently met
- Prepare mock ups and create virtuals with supplied artwork using Ai and Photoshop when needed
The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, be able to multi task while staying organized and focused on task at hand in a fast paced environment. Ability to perform well under tight timelines, be able to lead a team, work within a team setting and have an eye for detail, along with above average verbal and written communication skills are some of the basic requirements.

Any exposure or background in the printing/embroidery/engraving trades will be an asset, however extensive on-site training will be provided. New graduates from the Graphic studies are encouraged to apply.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
