Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and reliable Alarm Response Security Guard to monitor and respond to security alarms at various locations Barrie, Middleton, Wasaga, Collingwood plus other nearby locations. The ideal candidate will ensure the safety and security of the premises by promptly addressing alarm activations, conducting surveillance, and preventing loss or theft. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to act swiftly in emergency situations.
Duties
- Respond promptly to alarm activations and assess the situation to determine appropriate actions
- identify suspicious activity or potential security breaches
- Investigate alarms and incidents, documenting findings accurately for reporting purposes
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
- Perform loss prevention activities by observing for theft or vandalism
- Maintain detailed logs of alarm responses, patrols, and incidents
- Enforce security policies and procedures to ensure a secure environment
- Conduct routine checks of access points, doors, and windows to ensure they are secure
Requirements
Full G licence
- Previous experience in law enforcement, security, or surveillance is preferred
- Knowledge of alarm response protocols, and loss prevention techniques
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and professional during high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and accurately
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond quickly when needed
- Must pass background checks and any required security clearances
