Job Title: I.T. Network Administrator

Our client in York Region, ON is actively looking for an I.T Network Administrator to join their team.

Experience working with wireless infrastructure, including controllers, access points, and related networking equipment.
Experience configuring and supporting barcode scanners, wired and wireless devices, and label printers.
Strong working knowledge of Veeam Backup & Replication.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Self-motivated team player with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Minimum 3–4 years of related IT support and systems administration experience.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Windows operating systems, Office 365, and antivirus/security solutions.
Solid knowledge of Windows Server 2016 and newer versions.
Experience with AS400 systems is considered an asset.
Strong organizational, documentation, and procedural management skills.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
Experience supporting IT product evaluation, research, and procurement activities.
Flexibility to work rotational shifts as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, maintain, and administer servers, desktops, laptops, printers, and software applications.
Provide technical support and end-user training across multiple locations.
Manage backup and recovery processes, including network and AS400 environments, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Maintain daily support logs and proactively identify, document, and resolve technical issues.
Support and maintain LAN, WAN, wireless networks, and internet connectivity.
Ensure the availability and functionality of business-critical services, including email, mobile devices, SharePoint, intranet applications, and fax systems.
Monitor and support security camera and surveillance systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity planning initiatives.
Maintain software inventories, licensing records, warranties, and IT asset documentation.
Participate in evaluating, testing, and recommending hardware and software solutions.
Administer and support telephone and communication systems.
Support and maintain ERP systems to ensure reliable business operations and data flow.
Participate in periodic physical inventory activities as required.
Apply operating system, firmware, and application updates, patches, and security fixes.
Provide coverage and support for other IT team members during absences.
Performance Expectations:
Deliver effective IT support to users across two separate facilities.
Maintain high levels of system availability, security, and customer service.
Ensure timely resolution of support requests while maintaining accurate documentation.
Requirements:
Community College diploma or Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming, or a related field.
MCDST and MCSE certifications preferred; MCSA, MOS, and MCDBA certifications considered an asset.
