Job Description
Rideau Gymnastics is the largest gymnastics facility in Ottawa, within a multi-activity center on 26,000 sq. ft. We offer extensive recreational programs for all levels and ages, in several gymnastics disciplines. Our programs are growing and we are currently seeking full time or part-time recreational gymnastics and/or parkour coaches.
Hours:
Anywhere from 4 to 30 hours per week, depending on availability, suitability for various classes;
Salary:
$17-$29 (part time) (10-22hrs/week) - based on experience and qualifications
$35,000-$55,000 (full-time)- based on experience and qualifications
Experience:
Entry-level - able to instruct children physical activity; knowledge of gymnastics an asset; Ability to plan training sessions and to consistently deliver instruction in a planned manner; Knowledge of gymnastics, dance, tumbling, physical/fitness training, (or other equivalents), working with children, leading children into games and/or physical activities are an asset;
Advanced level- At least 3 years of experience in coaching competitive gymnastics; Minimum level 2 NCCP or Competition I in a gymnastics discipline or equivalent; Excellent planning abilities and ability to continuously provide effective training sessions; Education: Specialization in Gymnastics Coaching
Job Responsibilities
- Teach recreational and/or competitive gymnastics classes, assist with birthday parties, workshop, special club events;
- Work with groups of 6-8 children;
- Work in a dynamic environment;
- Train athletes and assist in plan development based on club direction
- Ensure athlete progression and achievement of goals
- Work in collaboration with all coaching staff to develop athletes and ensure club success

- Typical work week includes afternoon, evenings and weekend shifts
