We are currently seeking a Medical Office Assistant to join our team in Lloydminster.
In this important front-line role, you'll be the first point of contact for patients—setting the tone for a positive, supportive experience from start to finish. You’ll help keep the clinic running smoothly, support our clinical team, and play a key role in delivering excellent care.
Reporting to the Regional Clinical Manager, the MOA will be accountable for:
- Answering multiple incoming telephone lines, routing calls, taking messages, providing general information to patients, greeting and assisting incoming patients, scheduling appointments, performing patient appointment reminder calls, routing incoming and outgoing mail, and distributing correspondence and other material to clinic staff.
- Perform a variety of routine typing assignments; operate a computer to draft basic correspondence, enter data, and print letters, labels, reports, and/or other materials to assist clinicians, type and submit form letters.
- Medical equipment cleaning/reprocessing.
- Some bookkeeping is required, including billing of patient services.
- Establish, maintain, process, and or update patient files, records, and/or other patient-related documents following established clinical and administrative guidelines.
- Stock and distribute office and medical supplies.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned and act as brand ambassador.
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Medical Office Administrative Certificate or Equivalent Experience.
- Previous sleep and CPAP experience an asset.
- Previous Medical office/clerical experience is an asset.
- Computer/word processing knowledge and experience (MS Office Skills/Word/Excel/Outlook).
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and assertive.
- Ability to operate basic office equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal, and organizational skills and professional telephone manner.
- Strong ability to maintain multiple calendars, and appointment scheduling.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset.
